Before you connect
GhostTV is a media player only. GhostTV does not provide server URLs, IPTV URLs, playlists, channels, media content or IPTV subscriptions. Users must supply their own authorized sources and are responsible for having permission to access the content they play. A separate provider account or subscription may be required.
Start with an authorized source
Obtain the source and any required account directly from a provider you are authorized to use. GhostTV support does not sell subscriptions or supply source addresses. Check the provider’s permissions, terms and device or connection limits before adding it.
Prefer trusted HTTPS sources. Never post provider passwords or full authenticated playlist URLs in public or send them to GhostTV support.
WINDOWS CONNECTION GUIDE
Choose how you connect.
Xtream Codes
Use the server address, username and password supplied by your authorized provider. In GhostTV’s Connections screen, choose Xtream Codes and enter those details.
M3U URL
Choose the M3U URL option and enter your provider’s channel-list URL. It may contain a private access token; treat the complete URL like a password.
M3U / M3U8 file
Choose a local channel-list file with the Windows file picker. Keep the file in its selected location. If you move or change it, reconnect or select it again.
From connection to playback
Add your connection
Choose the matching source type, enter or select your authorized details, and connect. HTTP sources require explicit consent because they are not encrypted in transit.
Find your channel
Open Live TV, browse the categories supplied by your source, and select a channel. Use Favorites to keep channels within reach.
Watch in the player
Open Watch live for in-app playback. On Windows, choose Windows or Compatibility playback explicitly when needed. Stream availability and compatibility depend on your source.
Explore the guide
Open TV Guide to browse available programme data. Xtream sources use their supported guide endpoint; M3U sources need a declared XMLTV guide address. A playlist without guide data does not produce a schedule.
A channel list is not a single stream.
A compatible M3U/M3U8 channel list describes channels and their stream addresses. A single-stream HLS media or master manifest is not an IPTV channel list. Guide data, artwork and programme coverage come from your source.
The steps above describe the verified Windows connection flow. For help with your iOS version, contact GhostTV support with the app version and device model.
