This policy covers GhostTV applications, the GhostTV product website, and communications sent to GhostTV support. It applies across supported platforms. Available features and device storage mechanisms may vary by app version and platform. It is separate from the company website’s privacy policy.
1. About GhostTV
GhostTV is a media player only. GhostTV does not provide server URLs, IPTV URLs, playlists, channels, media content or IPTV subscriptions. Users must supply their own authorized sources and are responsible for having permission to access the content they play. A separate provider account or subscription may be required.
Your chosen providers and servers referenced by your sources operate independently of GhostTV.
2. Information used by GhostTV
Depending on the features you use, GhostTV processes information needed to connect to your sources and provide its player features:
- Connection and profile names, provider server addresses, usernames, passwords and playlist access tokens contained in URLs, where applicable.
- Playlist URLs and, where local-file playback or import is supported, the path and contents of a playlist file you select.
- Channel lists, groups, artwork addresses and available programme or media metadata obtained from your sources.
- Saved favorites, selected profile, last page or channel, supported saved viewing locations, preferences and associated identifiers or timestamps. Where your app version saves playback progress or history, that information is stored locally.
GhostTV uses this information to authenticate with your provider, load playlists, show available content and metadata, play selections, manage connections and restore supported viewing choices.
3. Local storage and security
GhostTV stores application records locally on your device and uses the device’s secure credential-storage facilities for saved login credentials. Storage mechanisms and the protection applied to other records depend on the platform and app version.
Not all locally saved information is encrypted by GhostTV. Profile names, source information, saved content identifiers or titles, timestamps and preferences may remain readable in local application records. Device security does not protect against every form of access by other software or people using your account. Keep your device and account secure.
Catalogue, guide and artwork information may be held temporarily in memory while you use the app. GhostTV does not operate a cloud backup or synchronization service for your saved profiles or viewing records. Backups created by you, your operating system or an independent backup service may retain copies under their own settings and policies.
4. Source requests and third parties
When you connect or play content, GhostTV sends requests directly to your chosen provider and to playlist, streaming, guide, artwork or related delivery servers referenced by your sources. Those servers can receive your IP address, request timing, requested resources, technical connection information and credentials or tokens required by the source. Requests may reveal the channels or content you access.
Those operators determine their own server locations, retention and privacy practices, which may differ from your location. Removing a profile from GhostTV does not delete their records or cancel a provider account or subscription.
HTTPS encrypts supported requests in transit. If you use an HTTP source, information including credentials or playlist tokens may travel without encryption. Prefer trusted HTTPS sources.
GhostTV applications do not include publisher-operated advertising, analytics, telemetry, automatic crash-report uploads, or automatic uploads of saved profiles or viewing records to GhostTV. Your operating system, app distribution services and independent providers may process data under their own policies. Advertisements embedded in a source stream are controlled by the provider.
5. Your choices and data retention
You choose which sources to connect and which supported files to open. Use the app’s available connection and storage controls to manage saved profiles and associated data. Available cleanup choices vary by version; signing out or deleting credentials alone may retain other local records. Removing a profile and its associated local data does not delete an original playlist file or cancel a provider subscription.
Saved records remain locally until you remove them or remove the relevant application data. Source requests stop when their sessions close, subject to completing or cancelling work already in progress. Removing records does not guarantee forensic erasure or removal from independent backups.
GhostTV cannot remotely retrieve or erase records stored only on your device through the application.
6. Website hosting and traffic information
The GhostTV website is hosted by OpenAI. Its hosting service processes technical request information, such as IP addresses, browser information and pages requested, to deliver and secure the website, and automatically records traffic such as visitor and page-view counts. This website activity is separate from data stored by the GhostTV apps.
GhostTV does not add advertising trackers, analytics SDKs, forms, visitor accounts or payments to this website, and does not ask for provider credentials here. Hosting data is handled under the provider’s policies; see OpenAI’s Privacy Policy. Interactive demonstration selections are held only in your browser tab’s memory and reset on reload.
7. Support communications
If you email GhostTV, we receive the contact information, message and any attachments you choose to send. We use support communications to answer and resolve your request, and retain them only as long as needed for support or legal obligations. The email services used to deliver and store messages process them as part of providing those services.
Do not send provider passwords, authenticated playlist URLs, access tokens or other unnecessary private information. Send deletion requests to customersupport@roadshare.ng. A request concerning GhostTV support records does not delete independent provider records or data stored only on your device.
8. Source content and children
Content depends on the sources users choose. GhostTV does not supply that content or control the age suitability of independent sources. Users are responsible for choosing sources and content they have permission to access and for supervising access on devices used by children. This policy does not assert a particular age rating or suitability for children.
9. Privacy questions and rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction or deletion of personal information GhostTV holds, or to raise a concern with a data protection authority. Contact customersupport@roadshare.ng with requests or questions. Please provide enough information to identify the communication concerned without sending provider secrets.
10. Changes to this policy
GhostTV may update this policy as its practices change. The effective date identifies the published version. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
